My Top 4 Podcasts

About a month ago, the starts all aligned and my best group of girls friends and I took a weekend girls trip. The last time we had done this was 3 years before and we’ve since added 6 kids to the tribe! (Crazy, I know) But there’s something so refreshing about a weekend with the girls. No responsibility, no time schedule, literally nothing to do but talk, laugh, (make a couple meals and desserts) and drink some yummy drinks. (Take me back)

But anyways, while on this trip, my friends started to talk about different podcasts. I don’t have an iPhone, so I don’t have a podcast app. Plus, I had just never given it much thought. My friend and I had both just finished “Girl, Wash Your Face”, and she told me  about Rachel Hollis and her husband Dave’s podcast called “Rise Together”.  I immediately started listening. From there, I discovered many podcasts geared towards entrepreneurs that I found incredibly motivating.

There’s something about listening to these people speak that I like better then researching. Maybe it’s because I feel like they’re talking to me. I can do it while I’m getting ready in the morning (or prepping my bar at my other job :)) I just feel like I get a lot out of it. So, I wanted to share what’s working for me right now. I’d love to hear what you’re listening to as well!

Rise- Rachel Hollis

It should go without saying, this is my top right now.  First of all, she has taken the world by storm. She’s positive, motivational and all about #livingyourbestlife. She interviews successful entrepreneurial women and prides herself on never asking them “typical women work/life balance questions”. Most of my current podcast faves are off of her list. I just really admire her. And her Rise Together podcast is great too for relationship support. If you haven’t let my pal Rach enter your life, the time is now. 🙂

How I Built This- Guy Raz

Guys, I seriously love this one. Guy Raz interviews the  people behind some of the most well known brands and companies. And the stories are so awesome to hear. Again, listening to podcasts make me feel like someone is talking to me. So I’ve had some awesome talks (in my ear buds) with Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Kendra Scott and Kevin Systrom. I love how different everyone’s story is. But they all just kept trying until they made it. Then they still kept going. So motivational and very entertaining. This is one of my favorites!

Christy Wright’s Business Boutique

This one gets down to the knitty gritty. Y’all, she worked for Dave Ramsey! How cool is that!? She is a big proponent of “Do it scared”. You don’t need to be completely comfortable with something before you jump right in. She’s a hardworking, down to business gal who will inspire you and offer you tools to succeed. She also has a whole brand of “Business Boutique” to help you start or grown your business.

The Goal Digger Podcast- Jenna Kutcher

Jenna really prides herself on being totally real. I love how (seemingly) quickly she has become a strong influence on photographers and entrepreneurs. Her podcast has inspirational interviews with amazing women leaders and some great business advice from Jenna. I also really love her Instagram micro-blogs. Jenna’s pictures are of real life and that makes her relate-able, which creates trust among her tribe.

As I continue on my journey towards success, I am taking podcasts along with me. I use them to teach me things about business, relationships and life. Just like a good book, a podcast has the ability to transform me and really kick off my day in a great way. If you  have any suggestions to add to the list, send them my way, friends! Until then, let me know what you think of my picks!
